After escaping the dark underworld again, Alaric and Alea return home, bringing Eban, a young man they rescued, who had been held captive by the Raven Queen longer than Alea. Mysterious visitors come to Alaric and Alea’s castle and little by little the Raven Queen’s identity and her motive for imprisoning Alea, Eban, and Alaric is discovered.
